Şeyma Kayaoğlu

Intern

CV

I am currently a second-year Psychology student at Kadir Has University. I also serve as the
Academic Events Coordinator of our university’s Psychology Club.
Trying to understand how human morality and belief systems are shaped within cultural contexts
lies at the center of my interest in psychology. While preparing for university, discussions with a
teacher of mine — such as “Is pure goodness possible?” or “Can we identify a shared mental
structure underlying homophobia and Islamophobia?” — sparked my desire to approach
questions about the origins of moral judgment from an academic perspective and ultimately led
me to pursue work in this field.
Beyond academia, I am particularly interested in cinema. I enjoy watching and discussing
films, spending time in third-wave co<ee shops, cold weather, and living in Istanbul.
