She holds a Ph.D. (2018) in Social Psychology from Middle East Technical University and conducted research as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cologne. She is an assistant professor of psychology at Özyeğin University (Istanbul). Her research has appeared in leading academic journals such as "Social Psychological and Personality Science" or "Social Psychology".

She researches the role of self and self-other interactions on social decision making. Her research interests are trust, cooperation, self-concept and interpersonal closeness.
